This Privacy Policy applies to www.data-challenge.lighthouselabs.ca (the “Site”) owned and operated by Lighthouse Labs Inc. (Lighthouse Labs) and to your registration for application for, access to or receipt of products and services from Lighthouse Labs. Lighthouse Labs is committed to keeping your personal information confidential and secure. This Privacy Policy describes how Lighthouse Labs collects, uses, protects, shares, and retains your information for this challenge.

Collection of Personal information

Personal information means any factual or subjective information in recorded form, that identifies or could be used to identify, contact or locate an individual. Lighthouse Labs collects information provided by site visitors, prospective clients, subscribers and students who register and participate in Lighthouse Labs programs, campaigns or contests. Lighthouse Labs will not disclose identifiable information without your prior express permission. Some information collected is in the context of Lighthouse Labs providing services to you. Lighthouse Labs does not share, sell, or rent the information we receive from you except in limited circumstances where your use of the Lighthouse Labs 21-day challenge website and its affiliated forum indicates a valid consent to disclose. When you register for Lighthouse Labs’ 21 Day Data Challenge, we ask for information to use for these general purposes: to provide and support products and services including course instruction, identification and authentication and security purposes, product and service improvement, contact, research, and follow up sales and marketing.

The security of your personal information and data collected is important to Lighthouse Labs. Lighthouse Labs encrypts the transmission of personal information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and industry best practices. While Lighthouse Labs endeavours to use commercially acceptable methods and standards to protect your personal information, we are unable to guarantee absolute security.

Lighthouse Labs may disclose Personal Information under special circumstances, such as to comply with court orders or when your actions violate the Code of Conduct applicable to Lighthouse Labs and we need to take appropriate steps. Lighthouse Labs does not sell, rent, loan or otherwise transfer Personal Information to other companies for the marketing of their own products or services unless you provide your consent to that. Lighthouse Labs may, at times, share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy and other terms included in applications or agreements with you. CLIENT DATA STORAGE

Lighthouse Labs uses third-party data storage services that use industry-standard security to store personal information including User Data that you submit. Lighthouse Labs does not claim any ownership or right to use your Personal Information or User Data and you retain all rights to your data except as provided for in Lighthouse Labs’ standard Privacy Policy.

Computers that access Lighthouse Labs’ website are assigned a different cookie by Lighthouse Labs which is used to track visitors to the Lighthouse Labs website. GOOGLE ANALYTICS AND REMARKETING, WEB SITE METRICS AND ANALYTICS

Lighthouse Labs may use a service from Google called Google Analytics (GA) or similar services from other service providers, which permit Lighthouse Labs to reach people who have visited www.lighthouselabs.ca and any owned subdomains previously, and display to them relevant advertisements when they visit other sites across the Internet that belong to the Google Display Network. This is called ‘remarketing’.

Cookies can be used to track your session on any webpage and serve customized advertising from Google and different third-party vendors. Through first-party and third-party cookies, the third parties may collect information about you while you are visiting websites and use this data to show you advertisements on this website and across the Internet based on your sites visited. For this activity, Lighthouse Labs does not collect this information, nor does it control the content of the advertisements that you will see; it is controlled by third parties such as Google.
